THE DREAMER

Image
The earth is man’s home, but temporary. Man’s existence did not start here (earth), neither will it end here. Hence there is birth and death. I compare birth and death to sleep and an awakening. Birth to a sleep in pre-existent life, and awakening to an earth life. While death is a sleep in earth life to an awakening to post-earth life. The temporal existence seems to be the only awareness man knows of his own existence. Likely becos he is living it. His pre-earth and post-earth life he has little or no clue of, except that prescribed by scripture. Man’s approach to earth life suggest this thinking – a life lived without a purpose. Majority of mankind are engaged and stuck in the “rat race” of non-improvement in the essential facets of his existence. This induces the thinking and the believe that earth life is home, permanently. That everything begins here and ends here. That the need to strive for excellence is of little or no value and use. But the coordinate natu

TRUE GREATNESS!

Image
G reatness is the height of achievement. We gravitate to greatness by using our potential to its peak. We become great when we do the impossible. We become great when we do the unbelievable. We become great when we discover the secret behind the magic in us and how to use that magic to influence others to dicover their own magic in themselves. When we face our greatest challenges, and we are equal to them, something great comes out of it. Greatness is the sphere of the average who do the extraordinary. It is the unleashing of that which is at our core, which in turn help others unleash theirs. Greatness is finding our VOICE and helping others find theirs. Stephen R. Covey, in this book The 8th Habit, From Effectiveness To Greatness , said: “When you engage in work that taps your talent and fuels your passion – that rises out of a great need in the world that you drawn by conscience to meet – therein lies your VOICE, your CALLING, your SOUL’S CODE.” We all can be gre

GO FORTH, AND ACHIEVE!

No man was born lazy. No man was born inferior. No man was born average. No man was born unintelligent. Laziness, inferiority, average unintelligence, are all qualities we adopted as we grow up. We were all born in the image of God; image reflective of God’s physique as well as his intelligence. We are all born the same, but we end up different. No human being is average. Dr Benjamin Carson, world renowned Neurosurgeon did mention and I quote: “There is no such thing as an average human being. If you have a normal brain, you are superior.” It was Buckminster Fuller that once said: “All children are born geniuses; 9,999 out of every 10,000 are swiftly inadvertently degeniusized by grownups.” The journey in achievement is within the reach of all. No one is exempted. But the apt to attain or reach high standard of performance seems to be the inclination of but a few. As latent as mans’ powers are, it seems the exclusive rights of a few to break to the limeligh

I BELIEVE!

Image
I believe in an Almighty God, the creator of heaven and earth, the maker of seas, land and sky I believe in the creation. I believe that Almighty God is the father of all creation. I believe the earth is his footstool. I believe in the sun, the moon, the stars. They are all wonderful creation of God. I believe in the solar system; the systmatic movement of the planets in their regualr order. I believe they all have their purpose and are serving their purpose; and the Almighty God is the creator of them all. I believe in the seasons; the sunshine, the rain, the harmattan. They serve the purpose of their creation. Even though my geographical location and boundary prevents me form experiencing the seasons on a regular bases, I believe in the snow, the Winter, Autumn, Summer. They serve the purpose of their creation as well. I believe in Day and Night. They are before my eyes. They are real. They are true. I believe in the mountains, the deserts, the trees, the plants, the great

THE FIVE PILLARS OF SELF-DISCIPLINE

Image
The five pillars of self-discipline are: Acceptance, Willpower, Hard Work, Industry, and Persistence. If you take the first letter of each word, you get the acronym “A WHIP” — a convenient way to remember them, since many people associate self-discipline with whipping themselves into shape. Each day of the series, I’ll explore one of these pillars, explaining why it’s important and how to develop it. But first a general overview…. What Is Self-Discipline? Self-discipline is the ability to get yourself to take action regardless of your emotional state. Imagine what you could accomplish if you could simply get yourself to follow through on your best intentions no matter what. Picture yourself saying to your body, “You’re overweight. Lose 20 pounds.” Without self-discipline that intention won’t become manifest. But with sufficient self-discipline, it’s a done deal. The pinnacle of self-discipline is when you reach the point that when you make a conscious decision, it’s virtually g

CREATING YOUR 2010 - HEALTH TOOLS

Image
This is the last segment of the Creating YOUR 2010 series. The entire series has been incredibly fun to write, but this segment on health is perhaps the most rewarding. We are going to explore thoughts and ideas about health. Remember, this segment builds off of our first segment Mental Tools for Creating YOUR 2010 so be sure to read that first! What do we believe is good health? For most people the immediate and obvious answer has to do with the physical body. For some, being healthy means being physically fit. People who use this definition of health tend to exercise frequently and participate in physical activities or know they most likely should be. For others, being healthy means eating modification and perhaps moderation. People who live by this definition of health tend to use dieting, NOT eating, and restriction. And of course, there are people who fall in the middle of the range and focus on both physical fitness and eating modification. In any case, it is a universally
