THE JOURNEY OF LIFE
The journey of life is a difficult one as well as amusing. The difficulty is not in the experiences, but in understanding them and interpreting them. It’s amusement is in the perplexity we are subjected to as we wonder in awe of the beauty it reveals.
A man infected by a disease, at the point of death is suddenly revamped through the miracle of modern day medicine. His physique shrunk by infection previously, suddenly becomes robust after a few days of administering the recipe of medicine. Looking at the two side of the divide- the grief in the face of the sick and his loved ones, and the joy and smile and happiness on the same faces, after the recovery of the sick, - is amusing in itself. Life is like a pun. The journey of life is punning.
I am not a pundit on life. I doubt if anybody is. But lives lesson are the best education available to mankind. Our journey through life teaches us the obvious as well as the extreme. The journey is necessary and we all have to take it and learn from it.
With the good and the bad that life has to offer, we as humans make, the balance. We use both and strike where we want to be. When the balance is right, that is where we ought to be. Where the balance is wrong, that is where we ought not to be.
The lessons of life are not meant to beat us down, but beat us up. But one thing is clear: we will be beaten. Whether we are beaten up or beaten down, is dependent on choices we make. A man looks at the cup and says: “the cup is half empty”. Another looks at it and says: “the cup is half full”. Both are right depending on the perspective they are looking at it from. Perspective is a choice we make. Some people see the lessons of life, learn from it and move on to a better life. Some people experience life, can’t see the lesson, remain where they are, and in many instants die waiting.
Life’s journey is a journey in adventure. The adventure is not the essence of life. The essence of your journey through life is what you become as a result of the adventure. For this adventure to be worthwhile, the choices you make are critical. Choices are at the core of the adventure of life. So allow yourself to experience life, make the choices, learn from the results. Good or bad, the journey of life is worth it.
